1. Who this notice applies to

This notice applies to visitors to medialens.media, prospective and current clients, authorised platform users, suppliers and people who contact MediaLens Intelligence. MediaLens Intelligence (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and the MediaLens service, unless another arrangement is stated in writing.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• contact and business details, such as your name, organisation, email address and telephone number;
• account and authentication information needed to provide secure access to the platform;
• messages, demo requests, support enquiries and other information you choose to send us;
• technical information such as device, browser, IP address, cookies and website-usage data; and
• service-related information supplied by a client or generated while delivering contracted media-intelligence services.

3. Why we process personal information

We process personal information only for appropriate purposes, including responding to enquiries, arranging demonstrations, creating and securing client accounts, delivering and improving our services, communicating service information, meeting contractual and legal obligations, preventing misuse and protecting our legitimate business interests. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, subject to applicable law.

4. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with authorised employees, group companies and carefully selected operators or service providers that help us host, secure, support or communicate about the service. They may process the information only for the agreed purpose and subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. We do not sell personal information.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Direct marketing and cookies

You may opt out of direct marketing at any time using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting us. The website may use essential and limited analytics cookies to operate securely, remember preferences and understand site performance. Browser settings can be used to restrict cookies, although some features may then work differently.

8. Children and special personal information

Our public website and commercial service are not directed at children, and we do not intentionally collect children’s personal information through the website. We do not intentionally request special personal information through general contact or demo forms. Please do not submit it unless it is necessary and an appropriate legal basis has been established.
